China begins second smaller wave of non-wood pulp mill closures



VANCOUVER, BC , May 6, 2009 (RISI) - China's central government, which closed hundreds of small-capacity, non-wood pulp mills in recent years as part of an effort to reduce pollution and revitalize its pulp and paper industry, has begun a second smaller wave of closures that will add to the original plan.
