Charles Rutstein, Chief Executive Officer
Charles comes to RISI from Forrester Research. During his nearly 14-year tenure, he held a variety of different positions, most recently Chief Operating Officer. Under his leadership, Forrester’s revenue nearly doubled, earnings more than doubled, and the firm’s stock outperformed the NASDAQ by a wide margin. Rutstein also focused much of his time and attention on improving the customer experience for Forrester clients, both online and offline.
Adrian King, Chief Financial Officer
Adrian King was appointed as RISI’s Chief Financial Officer in June of 2013. Prior to that, Adrian held the position of Chief Financial Officer for Gloucester Engineering, Inc., where he was responsible for Global Finance and Administration, Human Resources and IT functions. Previously, he held various CFO and senior finance roles in Services, Software and Manufacturing companies. Adrian holds a graduate degree in Accounting from University of Natal, Durban, South Africa and is a CA(SA).
Iain Murray, Chief Technology Officer
Iain Murray was appointed RISI’s Chief Technology Officer in June of 2009. Prior to this appointment, Iain was VP of Production for RISI and had been with the company for 18 months. Iain came to RISI from Questex Media where he was responsible all online product management, and prior to that he held various technology positions in B2B and B2C publishing companies, ALM, Conde Nast and Time Out to name a few. Iain holds a BSc from Edinburgh University.
Matt Graves, Senior Vice President, RISI Indices
Matt Graves heads up RISI’s information business for the pulp and paper sector. This includes RISI’s News, Markets & Prices, Forecast & Analysis and Mill Intelligence. Matt has worked for over 10 years at RISI with a focus on the global pulp and paper industry. He manages commercial activities with RISI clients globally and travels extensively in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. He has also led a number of consulting engagements with key clients in Europe and Asia. Matt received an MBA from Boston University in 1999.
Jon Rager, Senior Vice President, RISI Analytics
A 20+ year veteran of the forest products industry, Jon works out of RISI’s Atlanta office leading the global team of engineers and analysts who comprise the Mill Intelligence Services division. Jon was previously at Pöyry Management Consulting where he managed a technical strategy practice area. He has also worked in the corporate lending sector at GE Capital to provide financing to companies in this industry. Earlier in his career Jon held various process engineering and operations roles with several pulp and paper producers. He has a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with honors from The Pennsylvania State University.
Christina Zdanis, Vice President, Human Resources
Christina was appointed as V.P. of Human Resources in April 2014 and leads the Global HR team for RISI, including hiring, expanding, supporting and the development of RISI’s global teams. Prior to this appointment she was the Director of Human Resources and has been with RISI for 6 years. Christina has over 13 years of experience in the HR field including Hospitality, Real Estate Investment, Technology and Professional services industries.
Tom Bausemer, Chief Revenue Officer
Tom runs global sales for RISI. His 25 years of direct sales, sales management, and business management experience spans across the globe. Tom’s career has been focused on the Market Research, Media, Technology and Professional services industries. Tom brings extensive board level experience for both start-ups and public companies. Bausemer has built several sales, marketing, and consulting / professional services business from the ground up.
Deanna Talbot, Vice President, Marketing
Deanna Talbot leads RISI’s marketing team. In this position, she oversees all marketing, public relations, branding and lead generation for the company. Deanna joined RISI in 2014 as Marketing Manager. Prior, Deanna spent over 8 years at Bluefin Robotics, an underwater robotics engineering firm now owned by General Dynamics. There she led all aspects of marketing as well as contributed to sales and proposal efforts. Deanna holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts.
