RISI is the leading information provider for the global forest products industry. We are seeking a candidate who has experience in and knowledge of the European recovered paper market to fill the position of Industry Specialist, Recovered Paper. The Recovered Paper Specialist will work with RISI's team of economists to help to produce and deepen RISI's studies and forecasts of the European recovered paper market. RISI’s analysis of the recovered paper market, recognized industry-wide as the most comprehensive of its kind, covers all recovered paper grades and is used by pulp and paper producers, suppliers, financials and end-users to make the best strategic and tactical decisions for their businesses. The successful candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in the market, either as a participant or as an analyst, working with or for major industry players. Extensive "on the ground" knowledge of the industry is a must. Main responsibilities include producing and updating ongoing forecasts and multi-client studies for the European recovered paper markets as well as interacting with clients on a regular basis.

Other Responsibilities:

• Develop new industry contacts and work to add to RISI's industry knowledge
• Work with RISI's economists in performing studies and doing forecasts
• Help to develop new special market studies
• Provide client support and visits
• Speak at RISI and industry conferences
• Write RISI Viewpoints

Required Skills:

• Detailed knowledge of the recovered paper markets in Europe
• Good people skills, but also strong analytical ability
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Fluency in English and at least one other European language

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Forestry, or Engineering preferred.
