PIM '98
"Paper Industry Maintenance (PIM) now offers a self-designed workshop format to make it easy for busy mill personnel to tailor their own agenda, in order to spend as little time as possible away from their busy jobs," reports Christer Idhammar, president of IDCON Inc. and PIM program chair. PIM will be held from October 12-16, 1998, at the Cobb Galleria in Atlanta, Ga.

The first-ever Paper Industry Maintenance Canada, held May 19-22 in Toronto, provided the testing ground for the design-your-own-agenda concept. It earned an enthusiastic reception from delegates and exhibitors alike. Some of the comments from delegates in Toronto who attended the hands-on workshops:

"...a methodical, step-by-step approach."
"...general and useful. Did not push a certain product."
"The material was excellent."
"...simple, easy to understand."

Paper Industry Maintenance this October in Atlanta will provide the same high-quality, hands-on approach to mill maintenance problems. For more information, contact Joe Palmer, Pulp & Paper Conferences, 525 Market St., Suite 500, San Francisco, Calif. 94105. (415) 278-5372, fax (415) 278-5373.
