SAP has introduced its Mill Products solution—an integrated supply chain management software for the forest products industry. The Mill Products solution is composed of two areas. The staffirst area is industry specific functionality to support product design with variable product attributes and material management of individual items such as rolls.

GL&V Celleco’s Centerdisc CDI disc filter is unique in that is has no center shaft. Instead, a large diameter rotor is used, which allows for a central collection trough for the thickened pulp. If necessary, the trough can be equipped with a screw conveyor. Its sheet discharge method eliminates the need for chutes between the discs. As a result, the CDI filter can be used in applications where conventional disc filters are unsuitable.

It produces a mottle index value as well as a bar graph showing density variation to +/-0.001 density units.
