Beta gauge

Strandberg introduces the Densitek I, Model MT-140 beta gauge, an online sensor for continuous monitoring of weight or density of web materials. The sensor is available with two different beta sources for measuring ranges of 1 to 1,000 and 0 to 3,600 g/m2. Accuracy is within 1%. Strandberg also offers many options for the Densitek I, including additional sensors for moisture, web width, and stretch or shrinkage. Strandberg Engineering Laboratories Inc.

Sampling valve

The Strahman True Stock sampling valve features a unique coupling that extends into the main stream of pulp flow, allowing live extraction of samples. When the valve is closed, the piston fills the valve body and extends flush to the end of the coupling, preventing clogs. When open, the piston is retracted into the body, allowing a free-flowing sample. Strahman Valves

Contact-free measurement

The precise and compact VLM 200 instrument from Ludeca measures speed and length of moving objects, including paper, without contact. It is easy to install and operate. The VLM 200 is also easily integrated with existing processes, drives, or data acquisition by its digital or analog interfaces. Ludeca Inc.

Digital power analyzer

The WT200 digital power analyzer from Yokogawa is designed to facilitate the design and development of energy-conserving products and processes. Intermittent power demands the ability to accurately measure low power levels and to handle wide dynamic range swings between stand-by and active power states. The WT200 makes it easy to measure in-rush currents and maximum power consumption during fluctuating loads. Yokogawa Corp. of America

Electric actuator

Conbraco is now offering a new line of electric actuators that provide industrial-level performance and reliability at lower prices. The Apollo AW Series electric actuators are available in five output torques between 200 and 1,000 inch-lb. Standard on all models are a push and turn manual override shaft, a position indicator shaft, and female output--all made of stainless steel. Conbraco.
