John Crowe has been elected sr. v.p., wood cellulose. Crowe will be responsible for wood cellulose sales, manufacturing, and product development. Govert Deketh has been elected v.p., cotton cellulose sales, Europe and Middle East. Deketh will be responsible for the marketing of all cotton cellulose products in these areas.

 Jean Klutz-Funk has been promoted to account mgr. Klutz-Funk will be based in the Kansas City area and will serve customers in Nebr., Iowa, Kans., Mo., and southern Ill. Shaun Brophy has been promoted to plant mgr. of the Jacksonville, Fla., facility, and Becky Ebelt has been named inside sales partner at the Appleton, Wis., office.

Malcolm W. Chase, editor of the Journal of Physical and Chemical Reference Data and retired from his full-time work at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, has received the ASTM Award of Merit. The Award of Merit carries with it the title of Fellow and is the highest ASTM award given for distinguished service in committee activity.
