Rockwell Automation , an electronic controls and communications company, has completed a major expansion at its Dodge gearing manufacturing facility in Greenville, S.C. In addition to increased space, the expansion allows for the installation of new equipment and the implementation of processes in an effort to further improve the facility's productivity.
Morbark has announced the opening of its expanded service Florida Support Facility in Sarasota. The new 11,000-ft2 facility is designed to offer more services and support to Morbark's Florida customer base.
Wonderware Corp. , an independent op-erating unit of the Invensys Software Sys-tems Division, has announced a restructuring program to streamline its organization and improve its capabilities to deliver software functionality, web-enabled plant in-formation, and product ordering. As part of the restructuring process, the company re-duced its worldwide employment by about 20%, eliminating 150 positions.
Siemens Moore Process Automation Inc. has extended its software license agreement with Wonderware Corp. through the year 2007. DuPont Packaging and Industrial Polymers has announced a U.S. five cents/lb increase for all grades of Elvanol polyvinyl alcohol. This increase applies to all market segments worldwide. DuPont cites continued increases in key petrochemical raw material and energy costs as the reason for the price increase.
Degussa-Huls Corp. has implemented a temporary fuel surcharge on all deliveries of hydrogen peroxide within the U.S. and Canada to offset escalating fuel costs. The surcharge will be U.S.$0.001/lb or C$0.0035/kg (as is basis). The company also announced a price increase on all of the company's QUAB reagent products. The price increase will be 5% globally. All other terms and conditions will remain unchanged.
Clariant Corp. has increased off-list prices of its V-Brite and K-Brite sodium hydrosulfite products by 4.5%, effective immediately, or as contracts allow.
