A new approach to paper production: introducing the Voith Integrated EcoMill Concept
The resources required for paper production are becoming even more limited and thus more expensive worldwide. Meanwhile, overall world wide paper/paperboard demand is still forecasted to continue to grow in the near term especially in those developing nations, which lack resources. Ming Ming Liu, President of Voith Paper Asia, will share her thoughts on how to tackle this challenge by introducing Voith’s Integrated EcoMill concept (IEM).
The IEM is both ecologically and economically attractive and is a sustainable alternative to conventional paper mills. The IEM approach means fewer resources are consumed, and at the same time investment and operating costs are lowered. This is facilitated by highly integrated sub-processes both inside and outside the paper mill.
Ming Ming Liu will close her presentation with two case studies using Voith Paper's IEM concept.
