All IFPTA Members are invited to join the Board of Directors for the biennial IFPTA Member Luncheon.

The IFPTA Member Luncheon is a great way to meet other members, learn something new about the association, and take time out for lunch with your community.

This year we honor the founding directors of the association. The roots of the IFPTA go back 27 years to the first PPI Transport Symposium in 1974. Three industry professionals had a vision to create a networking group focused on forest products logistics. Several years passed by -- and a few more Symposium events -- before the IFPTA was officially established in 1982.

Our founding directors were: Albert Bernaert, Jaakko Ebeling, Bengt Eldered, Klaus Gebert, Bob Herbert, Marius Hoogewerff, Clyde Jacobs, John Kalish, James Powell, Tor Schumann Olsen, Per Strömbeck.

Meet the Industry Experts

PPI Transport Symposium is known as the meeting place for those who work in the forest products logistics industry. No other event delivers as many industry experts as the Symposium.

A lot of those experts are also members of the IFPTA. The IFPTA has a long history as the international association for forest products logistics. The founders of the association knew how important it was to create a framework of communication and networking across our global industry.

The Symposium gives you unprecedented access to these experts and IFPTA members throughout the entire event. You are invited to meet the experts in Amsterdam.

• In the IFPTA & RISI booth. Stop by and meet some of the association staff and members. We'll have coffee on hand and a seating area for 1:1 conversations.
• Attend the IFPTA Member Luncheon. Open only to active IFPTA Members, the IFPTA Member Luncheon is a great chance for new members to meet the Board of Directors and network with other association peers from around the globe. Make sure you RSVP above.
• Take the Port Tour. One of the most popular networking events of the Symposium, the Port Tour gives you an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Port of Amsterdam and their forest products facilities.
• Go to the Opening Reception. The official kick off of the Symposium, this year's Opening Reception takes place at the National Maritime Museum. Located right on the waterfront, this is the perfect location for the start of this year's activities.
• Visit the Networking Receptions. On Wednesday and Thursday evening, we will host a networking reception in the Exhibit Hall. This is the perfect time to meet the exhibitors and catch up with your colleagues before dinner. Plus, you can take advantage of the PPI Transport Symposium 19 Passport Game!
