Position: Research Analyst, Economic Analysis
Location: RISI Shanghai Rep Office, Shanghai, China
Job description:
Primary responsibility will be to assist RISI World Packaging team in preparing
data-intensive analytical reports. RISI World Packaging Service has economists
in Boston, Shanghai and Brussels offices. The successful applicant will report
to Alex He in the Shanghai office. He or she will occasionally assist RISI
World Fiber Group based in Boston office by collecting data and doing market
research.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with producing the Global Packaging Capacity Report
- Assist updating Global Trade Database
- Assist Alex He with Asian Monthly Monitor and Asian Paper Packaging
Forecast by collecting, inputting and organizing data
- Assist with producing the Asian packaging capacity report and Asian
packaging annual historical data report
- Assist with converting data from the Excel files into FAME database
- Assist World Fiber Group by collecting Asian pulp and recovered paper
information
- Assist with special projects as needed
Required Skills:
- Strong skills for MS office software, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Basic econometric modeling skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks on a tight deadline
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with
clients and industry contacts, both in Chinese and English
- Self motivated and independent working habits
- At least two years working experience
Desired Education:
- BA or BS in Economics/Statistics
