Analyst, Mill Intelligence - Atlanta, GA:

Job Description. Analyze pulp & paper mills for manufacturing cost estimates. Assist in production of benchmarking studies. Collect and enter information for our new mill asset data base. Have close coordination with the mill asset database team about the updates. Develop contacts/relationships with customers & other industry sources.

Position Summary:

We seek an experienced process engineer who will play an important role in the rolling out the new benchmarking and mill asset database software. The ideal candidate is experienced in pulp and paper engineering and has excellent project management skills. The candidate chosen for this job will assist the current mill intelligence directors in collecting and updating the manufacturing cost of pulp and paper grades, and provide sales support for the new benchmarking tool based in our Atlanta, GA office.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Mill analysis and mass & energy balances.
  • Collect the mill information and maintain mill asset database
  • Assist the Mill intelligence group in smooth release of new version of mill asset database
  • Deal effectively with clients, provide superlative customer service, and communicate well with clients and co-workers.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Skills Sets Required:

  • Knowledge of pulp and paper mill operations
  • Analytical skills: Modeling, statistics, and managing data
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work independently or on a team
  • High level of professionalism, strong leadership skills, and the ability to learn new concepts quickly in a diverse environment
  • Good public speaking and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Science or Pulp and Paper Engineering
