New Tissue World Magazine Mops Up Big Advertising Bucks

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 28, 2003 - Paperloop - provider of information for and about the paper, pulp, forest, converting and allied industries - today revealed that the latest edition of their new Tissue World Magazine due to come off press Monday has reaped over $150,000 in advertising revenue from around 40 pages placed. The "new kid" in the Paperloop portfolio has the potential to grow into as substantial a publication as Paperloop's flagship magazines, Pulp & Paper and Pulp & Paper International.

Tissue World Magazine was launched September 2002 as a quarterly publication and has a global distribution of 7,200. Readers are composed of tissue manufacturers, merchants and retailers in addition to converters, packagers and bulk buyers of tissue. The magazine is now easily able to sustain bi-monthly publication. Coverage and distribution is truly international with strong readership in North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

Nick Fielder, Paperloop's newly-appointed (September 2002) Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Magazines, Conferences and Online Communities said of the magazine's success, "Tissue is one of a few paper-related sectors experiencing significant growth in demand around the world. Producers, converters and distributors are positioning themselves to serve that demand and are hungry for information on this relatively complex, largely consumer-driven environment."

Each issue of the new magazine includes market updates focusing either on geographic regions or sub-segments of the tissue market, articles on new and future equipment, fibers and chemicals, innovative converting and packaging techniques, and retailing trends. The new issue will examine the use of tissues for promotional messages, the new Oji "bullet train" tissue machine and Kimberley-Clark's European strategy as well as previewing Paperloop's Tissue World show (also growing rapidly) and about to open its doors in Nice, France.
