International Containerboard Conference to highlight global market challenges and structural change

BOSTON, Sept. 3, 2004 - The 11th International Containerboard Conference will take place in Chicago on Oct. 13-14 at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers. The conference will feature hundreds of industry professionals including containerboard producers, converters, and packaging buyers.

The theme of this year's conference is "Navigating the Challenges of Global Markets and Structural Change" and will include participants from more than 17 countries. The program will provide insight into critical trends shaping the industry, including the impact of RFID tagging, China's rapid growth and influence on global trade flows, and supply chain perspectives from box makers to end users.

"This is, without a doubt, the most intense conference about containerboard and box markets in the world," says Gregg Rudder, Editor of Pulp & Paper Week and Chairman of the 11th International Containerboard Conference. "The event focuses on the most important market dynamics of world regional markets, including Russia, Brazil, and Mexico. It is a must attend event if you are in the containerboard or box business."

Conference presenters are from four of the top 12 largest containerboard producers in the world, as well as from major global box buyers such as Procter & Gamble, HJ Heinz, and Newell Rubbermaid.
