Paperloop announces major expansion of European analytical and editorial staff


NICE, France, April 25, 2005 - Paperloop announced an expansion of its European coverage today at the RISI European Forest Products Conference in Nice, France.


In total, six additions to Paperloop's Brussels-based staff will bolster RISI analytical products, PPI This Week newsletter and PPI magazine, and the Paperloop Benchmarking group. In addition, two new economists covering Asia have also been added.


"This new staff reflects our strategy to continually expand the breadth and depth of our global content," said Keith Balter, Paperloop's Senior Vice President of Analytical and Editorial Products. "The new editors, economists and engineer will enable us to more effectively supply in-depth information and analysis of Eastern European and Asian markets, which have become of increasing interest for many of our customers."


New analytical staff:


Anne Bousquet, Director, European Forecasting Service, is a seven-year veteran of Paperloop's RISI group and recently relocated to the company's Brussels office from Boston. A native of France, Bousquet holds a M.S. in Applied Economics from Saint Cloud State University and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Toulouse, and specializes in European packaging paper and board.


Alex He, Economist, China, has held several roles in international trade and finance. He is a native of mainland China and holds an M.B.A. from Brandeis University.


Ville Henttonen, European Benchmarking Analyst, will coordinate a major expansion of European mill information. He has held engineering positions at various European pulp and paper firms and earned an M.S. in Forest Products Engineering from the Helsinki University of Technology.


Deepa Kamat, Economist, Asia has held various economist positions in international finance and holds two Masters degrees: International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University, and Economics from Mumbai University.


Jana Savova, Research Analyst, European Forecasting Service, brings more than four years of experience at Paperloop to her new position. She holds a B.A. from Vesalius College and speaks several languages including Russian.


Voytek Sylwestrowicz, Economist, European Graphic Paper, joined Paperloop in 2004. He holds a M.S. in Economics at the University of Western Ontario and a B.S. in Business Economics at the University of Saskatchewan and speaks fluent Polish, Spanish and French.


New editorial staff:


Elizabeth Bains, Associate Editor, PPI This Week, has a background in the defense industry and holds a B.A. in Russian and Portuguese from The University of Leeds.


Fiona Winward, Associate Editor, PPI This Week, holds a PhD from Cambridge University and a postgraduate diploma in journalism.


"Elizabeth and Fiona will be working with Joanne Potter, Editor of PPI This Week, to continue development of reporting from Eastern Europe and other key regions," commented Rhiannon James-van Beuningen, Vice President of Editorial Products. "This new content will be leveraged across a range of publications, including PPI magazine and paperloop.com."
