Dates, new locations set for RISI'S spring pulp and paper conferences

BEDFORD, MA, Jan. 18, 2006 - RISI today announced plans for their 2006 spring pulp and paper industry conferences.

The Market Pulp Conference and European Pulp & Paper Outlook Conference will take place from March 19-21, 2006, in Barcelona, Spain. The Asian Pulp and Paper Conference, co-organized with the China Paper Association, has expanded to two full days and will occur April 23-25, 2006, in Shanghai, China.

All three events will provide regional and global pulp and paper industry forecasts presented by RISI economists. In addition, the Market Pulp and Asian conferences will feature guest speakers from other industry organizations. Speakers representing Deutsche Bank, Mildberry, APRIL, Gearbulk, Wood Resources International, UBS, CENIBRA, Ilim Pulp, Mercer International, Rottneros and Suzano Bahia Sul will present at the Market Pulp Conference in March. The Asian Conference program incorporates speakers from various international organizations, including a key note speech by Wei Zhou, vice president & secretary general, China Paper Association.
