Several key industry executives added to RISI's Latin American Conference Program


BEDFORD, Mass., May 3, 2006 - RISI today announced the addition of several key speakers and CEO/Executive Panel members to the Latin American Pulp and Paper Outlook Conference program. The conference will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on May 21-23, 2006 at the Windsor Barra Hotel & Congressos and is supported by leading industry associations ABTCP, BRACELPA and CICEPLA.


The newly confirmed speakers include Philippe Wauters, Vice President & General Manager of Star Shipping do Brasil, who will share insight into logistical issues in Latin America; Dr. Raśl Pazos Novoa, CEO of Eufores, Ence Group, who will explore whether Uruguay is the new promised land for eucalyptus producers; and Neil McCubbin, President, N. McCubbin Consultants Inc., who has extensive experience with environmental and process issues in the Latin American pulp and paper industry.


In addition, John Tate, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Norske Skog South America and Ricardo Zerbino, President of CICEPLA and Director of FANAPEL, will participate in the discussion of "Latin America: What's in Store for the Next 10 Years?" in the CEO/Executive Panel, chaired by RISI CEO Rod Young. Other featured panelists include Jose Luciano Penido, CEO, Votorantim Celulose e Papel; Maximo Pacheco, President, International Paper do Brasil and Miguel Sampol Pou, CEO, Klabin.

Conference attendees will also hear RISI's team of economists present their two-year forecasts for supply, demand, profitability, investment and trade for each major sector of the pulp and paper market. Simultaneous translations will be available in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
