RISI acquires EU Consulting

Nice, France, March 26, 2007 - RISI, the leading information provider for the global forest products industry, announced today at the Tissue World Exhibition and Conference that they have acquired the Europe-based tissue news, analysis and forecasting business EU Consulting.

EU Consulting was founded by Esko Uutela in 1994. The business specializes in offering consulting services for tissue, recovered paper and consumer packaging markets, carrying out numerous private client projects and publishing comprehensive multi-client studies on tissue business developments.

This move adds EU Consulting's publications, World Tissue Business Monitor and Outlook for the World Tissue Business to RISI's tissue portfolio, which currently includes the Tissue Monitor and World Tissue Forecast. EU Consulting's Outlook for Global Recovered Paper Markets will also supplement RISI's recovered paper and fiber business. Uutela, an industry expert with over 30 years of experience, will continue to be actively involved in the day-to-day activities of the publications and in RISI's tissue and recovered paper businesses.
