Mark Rushton joins RISI as editor of Pulp & Paper International (PPI)
BRUSSELS, Jan. 24, 2008 - RISI today announced that Mark Rushton will be joining their magazine editorial group in March 2008 as Editor of Pulp & Paper International (PPI). PPI has been the leading monthly magazine for the international pulp and paper industry since 1959.
Rushton comes to RISI with a strong background in the pulp and paper industry. In his new role, he will be responsible for the editorial coverage in PPI magazine and will contribute to RISI's new community website. He is the former editor of Paper Making and Distribution (PMD) magazine and is a well-known and respected editor in the sector. Rushton is currently the editor of Digital Printer and Print & Paper Monthly. He has been writing about the pulp and paper industry since 2000 and has visited numerous mills, industry events and companies throughout Europe, Asia, Latin America and North America.
"I have been a long time admirer and reader of PPI magazine and I'm looking forward to taking on this exciting new role at RISI," Rushton commented.
Rushton will join the existing magazine editorial team which includes: Annie Zhu, Features Editor, PPI (based in RISI's Shanghai office); Graeme Rodden, Editor of Pulp & Paper magazine; and Felicia Willis, Associate Editor of Pulp & Paper magazine.
Rushton will be replacing Justin Toland who has been the editor of PPI since March 2005. Toland will continue to write regular articles for PPI magazine and the RISI website in a freelance capacity.
