
CEOs of Altri, Sappi Fine Paper join PPI Market Pulp conference and RISI European conference programs
BRUSSELS, March 6, 2008 - RISI today confirmed that a number of new speakers have agreed to take part in the programs for the 16th PPI Market Pulp Conference and RISI's 10th European Pulp and Paper Outlook Conference to be held in Lisbon, Portugal next month.
Paulo Fernandes, Chairman and CEO of Altri has confirmed that he will give the keynote speech at the PPI Market Pulp Conference, which is scheduled to take place April 6-7, 2008 at the Sheraton Hotel in Lisbon, Portugal. Michael Dixon, Conference Chair and Editor of PPI This Week said, "We are honored that Mr. Fernandes will be joining the excellent speaker program for the PPI Market Pulp Conference. Altri is a leading player in the European pulp market and operates the Celbi, Caima and Celtejo mills, along with the CPK sack kraft plant. Sappi Fine Paper CEO Joins RISI European Conference Program
Berry Wiersum, CEO of Sappi Fine Paper Europe, will take part in the CEO Panel at RISI's 10th European Pulp and Paper Outlook Conference, which will take place immediately after PPI Market Pulp on April 7-9, 2008 in Lisbon. Mr Wiersum joins Alain Baudant, CEO, Smurfit Kappa Paper Division and José Honório, CEO of Grupo Portucel Soporcel on the CEO Panel, which will be moderated by RISI Chairman, Rod Young.
Conference attendees will also hear RISI's team of economists present their two-year forecasts for supply, demand, profitability, investment and trade for each major grade of pulp and paper.
