After 18 years in the industry, Robert Hotter started his own business as independent auditor for tail threading and roll change intervals. Since January 2011 thorough investigation of the paper machine with high speed video and a laser based speed sensor allows a deep understanding of the tail threading process. An audit will take out guess work and deliver hard facts with practical improvement suggestions.

The laser speed measurement delivers proof of real surface speeds and can be used to check all roll surfaces of the paper machine. Speed differences can explain many problems during operation. At the same time the laser equipment can record precise lengths of paper sheets.

Beside audits the high speed video recordings and laser speed / length measurements can be booked individually to look at specific problem areas.
