April global pulp statistics: Shipments decline to 3.626 million tonnes, inventories fall by one day, shipment-to-capacity ratio dips to 89%

BRUSSELS , May 23, 2014 (RISI) - 

Global pulp deliveries slid by 4.4% to 3.626 million tonnes in April, down from 3.791 million tonnes in March, according to Pulp and Paper Products Council (PPPC) data.

Shipments were 1.5% lower than the year-earlier period, down from 3.683 million tonnes in April 2013.
