BRUSSELS , Sept. 6, 2013 (RISI) -
Arctic Paper will take out 20 full-time positions at its Munkedal mill in Sweden. Most, but not all, of these positions are blue-collar jobs.
This was already negotiated with employee representatives in June, and the company is now in the process of reducing the headcount. "I expect this to be done to 75% by the end of the year and then level off during some months after that," said Göran Lindqvist, managing director at Arctic Paper Munkedals. He said the company needed to rationalize to "keep up in a changing world."
