Brazilian corrugated board shipments surged by 11.1% from 261,572 tonnes to 290,635 tonnes in July over June, according to preliminary data released by the country's corrugated board association (ABPO).
The figure also represents a 2.9% improvement over the 282,354 tonnes sold in July of last year. July was the first positive month for the corrugated board sector after a harmful second quarter, when shipments declined by 3.3% to 826,569 tonnes over April-June 2013..
