BRUSSELS , Jan. 24, 2013 (RISI) -
The French commercial court of Lille placed VG Gooseens's Marcq-en-Baroeul plant into receivership on January 16, the court told PPI Europe. VG Goossens is a subsidiary of Van Genechten Packaging. The court put the company under a six-month observation period and has appointed an administrative receiver.
According to a union representative, the loss of a major customer was one of the reasons behind the company's financial problems.
