BRUSSELS , June 12, 2014 (RISI) -
DS Smith (DSS) is set to axe some 54 jobs at two of its sheet feeding plants in the UK. Around 40 people will be laid off at the Blunham plant in Bedfordshire and some 14 people will lose their jobs at the Louth plant.
A DSS spokesperson said that the firm is currently in the consultation process with the employees. He said that the majority of jobs to be cut are “related to the production process at the plants.”
