SAO PAULO , Feb. 12, 2014 (RISI) -
Brazil's largest pulp producer Fibria on Feb. 9 started the annual downtime at its 2.3 million tonnes/yr bleached eucalyptus kraft (BEK) pulp mill in Aracruz, Espírito Santo state, southeast Brazil. The operation is expected to idle the mill's "C" line through Feb. 19.
During the downtime period, over 1,750 employees of 85 different companies will be conducting preventive maintenance procedures aimed at securing the plant's equipment integrity and efficiency.
