BRUSSELS , Aug. 29, 2014 (RISI) -
France's EDF and the Exeltium consortium, representing 27 energy-intensive companies active in the paper, steel, aluminum, chemistry and industrial gas sectors, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to adjust Exeltium's electricity supply contract.
The deal aims at enabling the electro-intensive companies belonging to the consortium to regain competitiveness, following the unexpected drop in market electricty prices, EDF and Exeltium said in a joint statement.
