BRUSSELS , Dec. 13, 2013 (RISI) -
Italian recycled containerboard producer Cartiera Bormida has recently sold the machinery at its Valle di Murialdo mill in the northwest of the country in six lots in auction to various companies from abroad, Carlo Bertone, a city council member and former mayor of the municipality of Murialdo, told RISI.
The two PMs have been completely dismantled and 40 employees working in three shifts per day, including Bertone, have lost their jobs. Cartiera Bormida stopped production a year ago and it is now in complete liquidation.
