BRUSSELS , March 1, 2013 (RISI) -
Mayr-Melnof Karton (MMK) and Södra are finalizing a deal that will see MMK acquire 100% of the shares in the chemithermomechanical pulp (CTMP) mill Södra Cell Folla, located in central Norway.
Folla mill manager Olav Vold confirmed reports in the Norwegian newspaper Nationen that MMK aims to finalize the deal before Easter. April would be spent organizing all practical matters and preparing the plant for the restart, and production would be resumed in May, he said.
