BRUSSELS , Jan. 24, 2013 (RISI) -
Russia's Solombalsky mill, which stopped its pulp and paper production at the end of December, is facing a difficult financial situation due to a drop in pulp demand from the Chinese market, to which Solombalsky sells the majority of its unbleached kraft pulp output, according to reports in Russian media.
The equipment at the mill is also reportedly in urgent need of a full upgrade if it is to continue running.
