SAN FRANCISCO , Aug. 15, 2014 (RISI) -
US corrugated box shipments remained relatively flat in July, while containerboard inventories showed slightly less than their normal average seasonal increase for the month, according to the latest industry statistics.
Box shipments increased 2.2% on an actual basis to 31.432 billion ft2, but were down 2.4% on an average-week basis (adjusted one more shipping day in the latest month), the Fibre Box Assn (FBA) reported.
