US containerboard inventories drop by 40,000 in November for third consecutive decline as mills run at 90.8% and box shipments remain flat

SAN FRANCISCO , Dec. 16, 2013 (RISI) - 

US box shipments remained relatively flat in November while containerboard inventories declined for the third month in a row, according to the latest industry statistics released today.

Total containerboard inventories at box plants and mills tumbled by nearly 40,000 tons in November to end the month at 2.303 million tons, according to the Fibre Box Assn (FBA) and American Forest and Paper Assn (AF&PA).
