Outlook for World Tissue Business

9th Edition - The most comprehensive, unparalleled, compact data source and forecast for the global tissue market

RISI's Outlook for World Tissue Business provides clear and accurate insight into recent changes and future growth prospects for the global tissue industry. It includes important information for your company's strategic planning purposes, providing you with the necessary detail for each key region including key players, supply, demand, operating rates and much more with forecasts up to 2021.

Global Tissue chart 1

In the past ten years, China has been the prime engine for growth in the global paper and board industry, and also in the tissue business. Latin America has shown strong expansion potential, with demand volume growth exceeding that of North America in 2000-2010. In the next few years, it is expected that large emerging markets such as Brazil, Turkey and Russia will increasingly offer tissue companies new business opportunities. The tissue sector is expected to continue on its dynamic expansion track with steady growth rates, less dependent on economic fluctuations than other paper grades. But based on population, there are still many sleeping tigers.

This study tells you:

  • When the tissue business will take-off in countries such as India
  • Current and future growth rates and volumes by region
  • Whether global demand will accelerate with the higher importance of emerging markets
  • Who the major suppliers and what their strategies are
  • The new committed projects by region, and how these will affect operating rates
  • The technology and retail trends that will shape the future
