Web control system specialist Montalvo develops compact single-disc brake for printing applications

GORHAM, ME, June 6, 2012 (Press Release) - The Montalvo Corporation, international specialists in industrial web control systems, has developed a compact single-disc brake well suited for printing applications.

"The CS-Series brake is ideal for web presses and narrow webs," says president Ed Montalvo.

The CS brake has a high capacity and low inertia to eliminate residual drag and allow customers to run a wider variety of webs. It has up to twice the range of a magnetic particle brake, comes in two torque ranges, and offers a Montalvo C-Series friction module that can be configured for a customer's dual disc, single disc, or caliper disc brakes.
