Eka Chemicals to increase sodium chlorate prices globally

BOHUS, Sweden, July 14, 2010 (Press Release) -

Eka Chemicals is to increase prices on sodium chlorate globally with immediate effect, where contracts allow.

"Major price concessions were implemented in our sodium chlorate business during the latest global financial crises," said Lennart Nilsson, Director of Global Marketing at Eka Chemicals.

"In order to secure a sustainable business and guarantee long- term supply of sodium chlorate in a steadily growing market for bleached pulp, we are now forced to adjust pricing levels on a global basis."
