Heimbach Fabrics celebrates official opening of its new plant in China

TEMASEK BOULEVARD, Singapore, July 2, 2009 (Press Release) - Friday June 12th, 2009 marked the official opening of Heimbach Fabrics (Suzhou) Co. Ltd. The plant is now capable of producing the most modern forming and dryer fabric designs suitable for the most demanding of applications on state-of-the-art equipment. Goods produced from the new site will be distributed to our wide customer base in China, and will also be exported elsewhere in the Asian market. This means we will be able to continue to build upon the Heimbach reputation as an innovative, high-quality and reliable supplier to the worlds widest and fastest machines, with goods produced in China.

Peter Michels, COO of Heimbach, attended the ceremony from the Dueren HQ, and VIP guests also included the German Consul-General to Shanghai, and the Chairman of Suzhou Industrial Park, as well as representatives from the German, Swiss and Chinese Textile Federations. All are pictured in the photo that accompanies this bulletin. Events were captured in time to be shown on the Chinese TV news.

The start up of this facility gives further evidence of our commitment to continued growth in this increasingly influential marketplace.
