NewPage enters into trucking logistics agreement with Greatwide in Wisconsin

SAN FRANCISCO, July 20, 2010 (RISI) - NewPage has entered into a relationship with a business unit of Greatwide Logistics Services, a national provider of third-party logistics services, for NewPage's dedicated shuttle business based in Central Wisconsin.

Greatwide said it will hire 40 experienced professional truck drivers within a 100-mile radius of Wisconsin Rapids, which includes the cities of La Crosse, Green Bay and Eau Claire. The company expects to fill all positions by the end of July.

Dallas-based Greatwide is a privately held third-party logistics provider serving the US and Canada, offering an integrated service platform to customers including dedicated, irregular route truckload, full-service truckload brokerage, warehouse-based logistics and managed transportation services.

Greatwide is the largest provider of dedicated refrigerated transportation in the US and ranks 11th among Transport Topics' Top 50 Logistics Providers, 15th among the Journal of Commerce's Top 50 Trucking Companies, and is a Food Logistics Top 70 3PL Provider and Inbound Logistics Top 100 Motor Carrier.
