Alatyrskaya to upgrade stock preparation line at Russian plant

BRUSSELS, March 07, 2008 (RISI) - Alatyrskaya is rebuilding the 100 tonne/day stock preparation line at its mill in Chuvashkaya province, Russia.

The company has contracted Czech supplier PAPCEL to overhaul the line’s closed cleaners, deflaking and washing separators, and instrumentation, as well as one of its pumps.

The work, which will cost some Euro 250,000 ($380,000), will not change the line’s capacity and should not result in any machine downtime. It is slated to wrap up in the third quarter.

The mill can produce some 39,000 tonnes of recycled linerboard and fluting on two machines.
