Andritz to supply two fiber preparation systems to Pfleiderer Group


   

GRAZ, Austria, Jan. 31, 2008 (Press Release) - International technology Group Andritz was awarded contracts to supply two fiber preparation systems for companies within the Pfleiderer Group, Germany.

For Pfleiderer MDF OOO, Andritz will deliver a turn-key front end package for a new MDF factory in Novgorod, Russia. The scope of supply consists of a complete woodyard, chip washing system, pressurized refining system, the steel structure, piping, cabling, erection, and start-up assistance. Production capacity of the line will be up to 1248 bdmt/d. Start-up is scheduled for 2009. This is the fifth fiber preparation system Andritz will install in Russia.

For Pfleiderer Holzwerkstoffe Nidda GmbH & Co. KG, Andritz will deliver a complete fiber preparation system, comprising a pressurized refining system with a 50/54"-1CP refiner (capacity of 528 bdmt/d). Start-up is scheduled for the third quarter of 2008.

The high availability and advanced technology offered by Andritz, as well as the successful operations of Pfleiderer Baruth's (formerly Kunz group) MDF plant in Germany, were the decisive factors for these order awards to Andritz.
