BASF to increase prices for polymer dispersions and powders

LUDWIGSHAFEN, Germany, June 24, 2008 (Press Release) - Effective July 1st, 2008, or as contracts allow, BASF will increase prices in Europe, Africa and Western Asia for polymer dispersions and additives by Euro 80-100 per metric ton and for polymer powders by Euro 160 per metric ton. The price adjustment is necessary due to continuous energy and raw material cost increases which are negatively impacting production and logistic costs.

The products affected by this price increase are used as polymers for adhesives, binders for fibers, architectural coatings and construction chemicals.
