BTG announces senior management appointments

ECLÉPENS, Switzerland, Jan. 31, 2008 (Press Release) - BTG announces two new appointments to management positions at their headquarters in Eclépens, Switzerland:

Mr. Mark Hutchison has been appointed to the position of CFO and Vice President, as of December 1st 2007. Mr. Hutchison comes to BTG from Spectris plc, UK, where he held the position of Group Controller.

Mr. Brian Pahl has been appointed to the position of President of BTG and will take up his appointment on March 1st, 2008.

Mr. Pahl has been Head of Business Unit Papermaking Effects, Europe for Ciba Speciality Chemicals based in Basel, Switzerland since 2005. Prior to this he was Division President of Pulp and Paper, Hercules Incorporated in the USA.
