Fiskeby Board announces investment in WTE plant

NORRKÖPING, Sweden, March 31, 2008 (Press Release) - Fiskeby Board AB is moving forward with a substantial investment in our future. The plan is to construct a Waste-To-Energy (WTE) plant. We have partnered with Pöyry for the front-end engineering of the major packages. These packages include fuel handling, boiler, flue gas cleaning, turbine, civil works, and the balance of plant. We have recently signed an agreement with a boiler manufacturer and continue our commercial negotiations with suppliers of other packages.

The WTE plant will generate all of the steam for the mill, a significant portion of the electricity demand, and some on-site district heating. The result will be positive for the company, environment, and community.
