Jack-Pol installs tissue PM in southwestern Poland

BRUSSELS, May 8, 2008 (RISI) - Jack-Pol is installing a second-hand tissue machine and a stock preparation line at its converting facility in Olawa, southwestern Poland.

The PM has a capacity of 50 tonnes/day and a trim width of 2.45 m. The PM's supplier was not disclosed. Tissue will be produced from 100% recovered paper to make toilet paper and kitchen towels. Half of the production will be sold to the domestic market and the other half will be exported to neighboring countries. The firm expects the machine to come online in September. The cost of the investment is about Euro 5 million ($7.7 million).

Jack-Pol also owns a 8,000 tonne/yr tissue paper mill in Byczyna, southern Poland.
