Kartogroup successfully starts-up PM1 following rebuild


   

LUCCA, Italy, March 14, 2008 (Press Release) - Kartogroup France, Dalle Hygiene Production on February 9th has successfully started-up B1 machine after a major rebuilding.

The Italian company Toscotec has been the supplier and the rebuild package consisted of the optimization of the stock preparation system, upgrade of approach flow system and water cycle, rebuild of existing PM1 to crescent former and supply of a new hood and air system and new drives for tissue machine, air system and fan pump.

PM 1 was a suction breast roll machine and now has been converted into an ahead 2.0 crescent former machine. Machine rebuild included the supply of new headbox, new crescent former section, new felt section and renewal of the Yankee doctoring area.

While previous configuration allows for reel trim width of 2700 mm, and speed of 1300 m/min; actual performances are 1900 m/min operating speed and 2750 mm trim width at reel.
