Voith Paper supplies tissue paper machine to SEPAC in Paraná, Brazil

HEIDENHEIM, Germany, Feb. 10, 2011 (Press Release) - In January, Voith Paper sold a new machine (MP4) to SEPAC, a company established in Mallet, state of Paraná, developed with basis on the quality of its products and high technology implementation.

The scope of supply includes a refiner, approach flow and vacuum systems, water clarifier and the new VTM 1 machine developed by Voith, with 2.8 m paper width at reel and 1800 m/min operating speed. The new machine is composed of: one-layer headbox, Crescent Former, felt section with innovative circuit, suction press roll, 4.8 m diameter Yankee, air hood and complete MCS/DCS automation system.

The highlights of this project are: the 4.8 m diameter steel Yankee, which allows a better heat transfer - reducing up to 6% the Yankee steam consumption, as well as the high-performance hood heated with thermal oil for 350oC air temperature. Both, the steel Yankee and the thermal oil air hood are the first of their kind sold by Voith worldwide.

Voith considers SEPAC as one of the most important and fast growing customers in Brazil. This company, in 2007, also placed an order with Voith, and now, SEPAC clearly stated that Voith was the preferred supplier for this new PM4 project. Most of the new machine production will be of 2-ply toilet paper, with 100% virgin fibers.
