Shandong Sun Paper Industry Joint Stock Co., Ltd. (Sun Paper), the largest privately owned and managed paper manufacturer and producer of premium coated packaging board and fine paper in China, will extend its capacity in copy paper converting. For its company Yanzhou Zhongtian Paper Co., Ltd., located in Yanzhou City in the Shandong Province, Sun Paper has purchased a cut-size line from E.C.H. Will and Pemco, two companies of the Körber PaperLink Group. The order comprises an 8-pocket cut-size sheeter with a high-speed ream packaging line.
Following the finalization of the sales contract, signed in May, the delivery of the cut-size line is scheduled for the end of 2009. With the purchase of the production line Sun Paper plans to increase their cut-size production capacity by approximately 80,000 metric tons per year.
E.C.H. Will and Pemco will deliver an SLK 490 cut-size sheeter with five unwinds designed for a reel diameter of 1.600 mm. The high-speed packaging line will consist of a Pemco Model 39S ream wrapper, a Model 124 ream inspector, a Model 137 stacker/accumulator, a Model 162 case packer/lidder and a box strapper.

And Martin Brandt, Executive Vice President Paper Systems of E.C.H. Will added: "With more than 100 8-pocket production lines already placed in the market we offer Sun Paper a cut-size line concept, guaranteeing high output, constant long-term high quality and reliability."
Besides the state-of-the-art cutting technology and production reliability of the complete line, another main criterion for the purchase decision was the strong local presence of E.C.H. Will and Pemco in China with their regional sales organization Körber PaperLink Far East. "We are proud to be trusted in continuing our partnership with Sun Paper, which started already in 1992," added Martin Brandt. "After the installation of a 4-pocket sheeter in 1992, we look forward to meeting the new challenges in this project."
