Winkler+Dünnebier acquires business operations of Buhrs ITM in Germany

NEUWIED, Germany, Oct. 4, 2010 (Press Release) - Buhrs ITM has been the world's fourth largest provider of highly efficient and flexible system solutions for automated envelope insertion. Due to the insolvency of its Dutch parent company at the end of June 2010, Buhrs ITM also found itself in provisional insolvency.

In the future, the company will offer the entire existing product range and services under the name "W+D Direct Marketing Solutions GmbH" from its location in Löhne, Germany. It is planned to complement the product portfolio with additional new developments in the area of modern production solutions for direct marketing. With this step, W+D is strategically strengthening its leading position in the manufacture of production systems for envelopes. At the same time, it is sustainably reinforcing the long-term position of envelopes, also in future applications of direct mailing and direct marketing.
