Arkema announces Euro 50/mt price increase on its oxygenated solvents portfolio

COLOMBES, France, Dec. 22, 2010 (Press Release) - Arkema announces a price increase of minimum 50 €/mt on its oxygenated solvents portfolio on January 1st 2011.

This adjustment is linked to propylene and derivatives price increases. The main products concerned are Diacetone Alcohol (DA), MethylIsoButylKetone (MIBK), MethyIsoButylCarbinol (MIBC), Hexylene Glycol (HG) and Isophorone (IPHO).

These products are widely used in many industrial applications in fine chemistry as much as in formulation.

Since the MEK shutdown end 2009, La Chambre plant is confirming its commercial development with its 2 product lines : amines and oxygenated solvents derivated from acetone.
