BASF increases prices for styrene-butadiene latex products in Canada and the US

CHARLOTTE, NC, Sept. 4, 2009 (Press Release) - Effective today, Sept. 4, 2009, or as contracts allow, BASF is increasing its prices by up to $US 0.06 per wet pound in the United States and Canada for all STYROFAN® and STYRONAL® styrene-butadiene latex products used in the adhesives, architectural coatings, sealants, construction, paper and nonwovens markets.

This action is necessary as a result of increases in the cost of raw materials, in particular styrene and butadiene, which have impacted BASF's business.
